Don Brown was born in Norfolk in 1962 and now lives near Bawdsey, where he has his studio. He trained at the Central School of Art and the Royal College of Art. He is a sculptor best known for a series of sculptures of his wife,Yoko.

His work pursues an idea of perfection. In a variety of poses, dressed and undressed,Yoko’s immaculately rendered figure intentionally references the sculpture of classical antiquity and neoclassicism. The sculptures are cast either in brass or white acrylic. He also sculpts fruits and eggs (based on birds’ eggs found in the Suffolk landscape). Brown also makes finely detailed drawings of his subjects. His work is figurative and highly realistic. Don Brown is represented by Sadie Coles HQ.
