Russell Haswell was born in 1970 in Coventry, but lives and works in Suffolk. He is mostly an audio artist but also makes visual work that he has exhibited around the world. He also gives solo audio presentations at major art and music festivals around the world, notably at Aldeburgh Festival and at Faster Than Sound.

Some of his work appears on vinyl and DVD, and he has curated several works, at P.S.1/MOMA in New York and All Tomorrow’s Parties club events in London. Haswell has contributed work for art magazines such as Frieze. He has worked with Gilbert and George, the Chapman Brothers and Aphex Twin, among others.
