Born in Goole, Scott King studied graphic design at the Hull College of Art.
He lives and works in London. Recent solo exhibitions include Front Room,
Scott King & Richard Serra (St Louis, Missouri), The Trial Continues
(New York City), Temporary Eyesore (London), Scott King (Calais, France),
Oh! Pylon Heaven (Turin, Italy)and several exhibitions at Herald St (London).
Group exhibitions include Dot Systems (Ludwigshafen, Germany), Commercial
Break (Venice, Italy), Backstage Riders (Berlin), In Your Face (Showstudio,
London), Newspeak (Saatchi Gallery), Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art (Barbican,
London), Good News for People Who Love Bad News (Swiss Institute, New York
City), Sympathy for the Devil (Montreal, Canada / Chicago, Illinois), Left
Pop (Moscow), Multiplex: Directions in Art, 1970 to Now (Museum of Modern
Art, New York).
His work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and frac – Nord-Pas
de Calais, Dunkerque, France. Scott will contribute to SNAP together with Matthew
Darbyshire as part of their ongouing Ways of Sitting collabouration.
