ANYA GALLACCIO for SNAP Art at the Aldeburgh Festival 2014
Specific trips to Orford Ness organized by SNAP with the National Trust:
Tuesday 17th, Thursday 19th, Friday 20th, Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Friday 27th June.
There will be two ferries departing from Orford quayside on each of these days at 12 pm. These bookings need to be made in advance through
Aldeburgh Music box office. Box office tel number 01728 687 110. All tickets £10.
There will be a National Trust tour guide who will also answer any questions about the site and a second guide familiar with Anya’s exhibition and SNAP.
Please be at Orford quayside by 11.50am where our guide will be to meet you.
Visitors will be taken on foot to view the works and returned to the quayside. The tour will be based on the National Trust red trail - see map below (allow 2-3 hours).
There are also general trips to the Ness organized by the National Trust on Saturdays.
During the period that Anya Gallaccio’s exhibition will be installed, there are trips on the 14th, 21st and 27th June, with boats crossing regularly to the Ness between 10am and 2pm, (on the hour, 20 past the hour and 20 minutes to the hour – with the last ferry returning from the Ness at 5pm).
(The tour will not be specifically related to Anya’s work but it will be possible to see her works as part of the red trail tour of the Ness).
There are no pre-booked tickets for these trips. Tickets are allocated on the day on a first come first serve basis. (Total places per day 144) . Ticket prices differ from above. Please visit

The only access to the Ness is by National Trust ferry from Orford Quay
